The plate appearance
The plate appearance as a first-class object rather than a row in a box score. Every one carries the base-out state it began in, the run expectancy of that state, the value of what happened, and the win-probability move. Pick a game to walk its plate appearances.

Plate appearances
Run value is the change in run expectancy plus runs scored on the play. WP and WPA use the home-team perspective; LI is leverage index. A dash means the state was below the publication floor and no value is published for it — never an interpolation. The compact v1 payload does not carry pitcher identity, so this page does not invent one.
